| Birthing Balls
By the second class all students should bring their own exercise/birthing ball. There is nothing special or different about a birthing ball rather than an exercise or Swiss ball . Please check your ball states "anti-burst" or "burst resistant" and is rated to the weight you expect to be at full term (or your partners weight if more).
If you are 5'1" or under, or have short legs you will require a 55cm ball, pump this up to max 170cm circumference or 85cm from stopper to other pole
If you are 5'2" to 5'6", you will require a 65cm ball, pump this up to max 200cm circumference or 100cm from stopper to other pole
If you are 5'7" or over, or have long legs you will require a 75cm ball, pump this up to max 230cm circumference or 115cm from stopper to other pole
